Psalm 1

1. Happy¹ is the man who didn’t walk² in the counsel ³ of culpable-ones,⁴ and didn’t stand in the way⁵ of sinners,⁶ and didn’t sit in the settlement⁷ of scorners.

2. But rather his delight⁸ is in the Teaching⁹ of Yehovah.¹⁰ And he will meditate daily and night¹¹ in His Teaching⁹.¹²

3. And he shall be like a tree planted upon splittings¹³ of waters whose fruit he will give in his time. And his leaf will not wither. And all that he will do will prosper.¹⁴

4. Not so¹⁵ are the culpable-ones,⁴ but rather are like the chaff¹⁶ that the wind will drive-away.

5. Therefore the culpable-ones⁴ will not stand¹⁷ in the judgment,¹⁸ and sinners in the congregation of righteous-[ones].¹⁹
